I read all the reviews before I bought these and honestly thought I would be sending them back as soon as I tried them on. Surprisingly they fit perfectly. I wear an Euro 39 US 8.5 and ordered a 8.5 and they fit well even around my calves.

Hallelujah! They fit my curvy calves (18-3/4″) and are gorgeous quality. The leather is supple and so soft, but they don’t sag because the adjustable ties behind the knee offers a customized fit. I ordered a full size larger, mainly because my usual 10 wasn’t in stock, and there is no 10-1/2. I took a chance on the 11 and they fit just a tad roomy, but are perfect with heavier socks. My usual size definitely would have been too snug, as they are slightly narrow. For reference i have a slightly wide foot with a high instep. I’m 5’6″ and these reach just to the top of my knee. I wore them out to a concert date with a basic t-shirt dress and a denim jacket and I felt sexy and chic. I received compliments from my guy, which was nice. They were comfortable to wear all night, the heel height is perfect. I’m 63 and I can confidently wear them because they’re not overtly sexy or pirate-like. They are part rock ‘n’ roll with a touch of class and a bit of sexiness, much like I would describe my own personal style. If you are on the fence, just get them. You’ll have them forever.

I have these boots in several colors, and was looking for a tan/light brown color. Unfortunately, these boots are quite yellow, and much lighter than what is shown on the computer. ( I know computer monitors can dramatically change the color- these boots included!) So while these boots are fantastic, the color isn’t great.

The leather is super smooth and molds to your leg nearly immediately. Even though I have narrow feet, at first, they were super tight around the ball of my foot, but then it seemed to give quite a bit even within an hour of wearing it. These are great boots for folks that don’t want heels – so well made, too. The sole isn’t very flexible, but I’d think that would get better after more wear.

Finally a wide calf boot that is stylish and in leather!! I am 5’7” and the boots come up to the top of my knee. I bought a size larger than my usual size so I could wear heavy socks, I live in NW Montana so I need to dress warm about half the year. I used a waterproofing spray so I didn’t have to worry about wet feet and to protect the leather. I highly recommend them, in fact I bought both colors! A friend has had a pair of Bed Stu boots for years and wears them constantly all winter so I am confidant they will last.

Love this boot. This is a true light tan boot, not orange as one reviewer said. I have been looking for this type of boot for a long time and now it is mine all mine. I will be ordering a black pair soon. Do order a size up though.

These boots are GORGEOUS! Buttery soft leather, and a seriously cool look to them. The wider calf actually fit my larger (17″) calves, too. And because you can cinch them in with the laces, they don’t gape open at the top like most wide calf boots.
I am 5’3″ and these came all the way up over my knees.
Sadly, the toe box is a bit too narrow for my wide feet because I have a bunion which hurts if at all squeezed. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5; I ordered these in a 9. They were only a little bit long, but unfortunately just not wide enough. Not that they are particularly narrow – I just have problem feet.

While boots were pretty and had fun styling, the foot of the boot was narrow and not tall enough for my high instep. The wide calf was great, plenty of room. But my foot just didn’t fit even though I wear an 8 1/2 and ordered a 9.

Awesome BUT they run a FULL SIZE SMALL, and the shafts are about 2” TALLER THAN OTHER KNEE HIGH BOOTS. Luckily, I heeded the reviews and ordered an 8.5 (I’m normally a 7.5 medium width) so the foot part fit great. However, not enough of the other reviews mentioned the height!!
I’m 5’5” and these hit me at the crease of the back of my knee, which was uncomfortable every time I bent my leg to walk. If I was taller, or had longer legs, or a higher lower-leg-to-thigh ratio (is that a thing??) I would have kept these boots for sure. The leather is soft and gorgeous, and the design is fantastic with the tie at the top so it doesn’t gape and is adjustable to a lot of different calf widths.
But make sure you measure your current knee-high boots and decide if the shaft height is going to be too much for you!

I feel like I’m in the twilight zone with all the reviews that tell you to order a full size up, I debated buying these for a while cause I’m a size 8.5 to 9 and they only had an 8.5 available, so I finally figured if they are ridiculously small like all these reviews say I would just return them. Keep in mind that boots I usually will buy in a 9 for sock room. These gorgeous boots arrived and fit PERFECTLY! I do not have a narrow foot and seriously they fit like they were made for a feet. If I went up a full size they would be clown shoes on me…but I digress… These boots are so so beautiful. I do have a wider calf and can wear with skinny jeans or leggings no problem, the ties in the back make them wearable in so many ways. I got the brown and the distressed leather is so so perfect. The quality is absolutely there, I’m obsessed with these! Buy them!!

These are kind of a bright peach color and run narrow. The calf can definitely accommodate 17+ inch circumference. I may order in black instead.

These boots are made from a nice leather, although it is a bit more “distressed” than it appeared in the description photos. I was disappointed that they were more floppy and loose than a traditional riding boot (with a stiff, tall shaft). Four stars because while they seemed like good quality, they were just a bit too flimsy for my needs.

Gorgeous boots with incredible workmanship. The color is a little odd, but I think they would have aged well. Unfortunately, I had to return them. I am 5’7” and full-figured with 18” calves. I wear a 9.5 typically and that’s what I ordered. These were supposed to be wide calf but were so tall the wide calf part was at my knee and the lower leg part wasn’t wide enough for my calf. I also felt the foot size ran quite small. If you have long lower legs, these are beautiful and might work for you. But I’d size up at least a half size, if not a full size.
Gave 4 stars because of the odd proportions and the need to size up, but they really were a beautiful boot!

I’ve always wanted knee high boots and the Bed Stu boots are magnificent. The interior is butter soft leather, the shoe fits well, is balanced and supportive, the lacing at the back of the knee is perfect for a personalized fit. The size zipper helps me to get them on without lots of tugging and the wide calf fits fabulously! I was surprised to see that they are ‘weathered'(light marks on dark leather) but after having them a time it gives them more depth of color and character. If I don’t like the light marks I’m sure I can cover them with colored shoe polish. They are not as pictured.

These boots are BEAUTIFUL! Unfortunately, my legs are just too short for them (I’m 5’5″) as they come up over my knee. It actually looks fine in the front, but the laces being in the bend of my knee just doesn’t work. So sad to return them…if you’re on the fence about the height, just get them and if they don’t work then return, because they are just stunning.

The material was very nice, but the width was too wide for me. I did not realize that you can adjust the width with the strings in the back. I am going to return. I tried to order my size in the smaller width not available.

The boot is beautiful. The leather is nice. The calf fits an athletic calf well but one shoe was much tighter than the other. I had to return them. At this price point I want comfort as well as quality.
