These boots are gorgeous! I really, really wanted them to work out, but my foot is a bit on the wide side of average (but I almost always order B width) and I have a neuroma, so they were an absolute no-go for me. Super bummed, because as I said, they are absolutely beautiful! A little more info – I normally wear an 8.5 but I ordered these in both 8.5 and 9, just to give myself a good chance of wearing them. The 8.5 was tighter than a normal 8.5 and I couldn’t comfortably zip it up. The nine fit in every way other than the pain from my neuroma. So, maybe order a half-size up.

When I opened the box, I knew I was in love with these boots! The looked (and smelled) awesome. I have a thing for leather! After putting them in, I was even more in love. I usually wear an 8.5 or 9, and after reading reviews, I decided to get a 9. The inside zipper makes it easy to take on and off.

Love the look of these boots. I had to go with a half size larger than what I normally wear. The shaft height is ideal for someone of my height. I’m 5’2” and tall boots usually hit me in the kneecap. These hit about 4 in below my knee. They are leather so they need to be broken in before they get comfy, but the beginning isn’t that bad. I have athletic calves and they are very snug to zip up at first, but they will stretch a little.

Super cute boot, but I should have listened to the other reviewers stating to size up. The only reason I did not size up was because I had ordered another pair of boots from Bed Stu but in a different style in my usual size and it was too big. So sadly, these are being sent back due to sizing issues.

Very high quality boot. Maybe a little more than I was seeking. The shoe part is quite stiff and overall they are pretty heavy boots. I think they would last forever!

Loved the look of the boot and the smell of the leather. I normally wear size 8 in most shoes. Because of the mixed reviews on sizing, I went with 8.5. Unfortunately, it felt like my toes were hitting the end. Since I like the look of the boots and the feel of the footbed, I’m ordering a 9 hoping that gives me a bit more space for my toes. I wouldn’t say everyone needs a full size larger for this boot, though. The toe box felt small, and my big toe is, well, big (and probably bigger than average). My daughter, who wears a size 8 and has not so thick toes, did not have her toes hitting the end and could wear the 8.5 comfortably. The leather is supple, and I expect the boots will stretch easily based on how quickly they began to feel more comfortable after walking a bit around the house. For those with bunions (like me), there was no rubbing or weird seams to irritate them.

These are really cool boots. I didn’t adore them at first for a couple of reasons. First, while the craftsmanship appears to be really good, the leather is not what you expect from a boot at this price. I’d heard that people had trouble with it cracking and flaking, and it does seem a bit thin and fragile. Nothing like Frye leather, for example. So I’m waiting to see how they hold up. Second, the foot itself is quite stiff and very slightly narrow. I wasn’t sure how comfortable they’d be, but walking around in them all day today caused me no trouble. (Not like walking on clouds, but not uncomfortable.) I do LOVE the soles, though. The red is adorable, and the traction can’t be beat, especially compared to Frye, which make me feel like I’m walking on an ice rink for a while. The style is awesome, and the darker brown color is beautiful. Finally, while I have (what I think are pretty average) 14 inch calves, these are one of the only boots that don’t gape. Partly it’s because they aren’t as tall as some, but still. So on the whole, I like them. As long as they hold up, I’ll be happy.

Loved these boots, just wished this size came in the color I wanted.
I bought 2 pair, different color….different size. The reviews stated a larger size might be warranted. I found they were true to size.
Returned both pair, the dark color was too dark but the correct size. The lighter color was AWESOME…..but the wrong size(sized up).

Love the look of these boots and for the most part they are pretty comfortable BUT I have a fat foot, so it’s a little tight around my toes. Not so much that they are insanely uncomfortable, but just enough to make them slightly uncomfortable. But I love them nonetheless!

Beautiful boots. Comfortable. I usually wear a 10.5, but got 11. The foot bed is narrow but I have skinny long feet so it works for me.
Should be noted that I’ve worn them maybe 3 times and the stitching is coming out. For the price of these boots, that’s really unacceptable. So but at your own risk.

Yes the reviewers are not exaggerating. I’m a 9 in sneakers, 9.5 in boots, so I just bought a 9.5 like usual and my big toe was getting choked out. I didn’t have a sock on and my toes couldn’t move at all. Why the heck is the tip of the boot so narrow? It felt like I was wearing a size 7. Returning since they dont have a 10. The width is very narrow as well. What were they thinking ? There is no foot cushion or arch support so you’d want to put something in there.

The boots did not overwhelm me when they arrived, the leather looked cheap and shiny. The shaft of the boot was tight and had no give and finished at an awkward length on my leg. Overall not a good look and fit.

For me, these boots fit just fine. I’m a 7.5, ordered a 7.5, and they are perfect. The leather smells so good and really nice. I love the red soles and the overall style of the boots. I agree with a previous reviewer- some of the stitching is coming out at the top of one of the boots, but honestly, not a big deal to me.

These are absolutely what I was looking for in a boot! They fit true to size!

I LOVE these boots! I had been looking for a mid-height, flat black boot with a bit of motorcycle style forever, and could not find what I wanted until I finally came across these. They were exactly what I was looking for. I have foot problems and these are very comfortable, even when I’m on my feet for long periods. Lots of boots are too tight on my calves, but wide calf boots are always too wide. These in the regular fit were slightly snug over my jeans at first, but the leather stretched a bit and now they fit just right. I am about to buy them in brown!

I wear a 7 to a 7 1/2 medium width without fail. These looked great but were really tight. I couldn’t decide if an 8 or 8 1/2 would work better so I decided to just return and go with a familiar brand I know fits well. So the style was cute but I highly advise ordering a 1/2 size to a full size larger. Also, I’m thinking these would be friendlier to a narrow foot. Just beware, the foot is very hard. Maybe they could be broken in, but I’m not sure.

Many of the reviews talked about these being too small so I was nervous about ordering my regular size. I guess I lucked out because they fit perfect. Each boot fits a little different which is to be expected with handmade boots, but not a big deal. I’ve wanted these for a long time and am glad I splurged.

Ordered these boots for my wife as a gift. After reading several reviews, I ordered a half size bigger and they fit her perfectly (she’s a 8.5, ordered a 9). The quality and handcrafted appearance of these boots add to the allure of the style and are quite reminiscent of styles by Ben Heart. I only wished they made these for men too!

The size is true to fit. I ordered a half size larger due to reviews but should have stuck to my original size. I retuned them only because the toe was a bit more pointed than I like. I prefer a more rounded toe. But overall the boots were very stylish with super nice leather.

Originally ordered my regular size 7. Had to exchange for a 7 1/2 wide calf. These run small. They are gorgeous boots and more than I wanted to pay but gifted them to myself for my birthday and weight loss.

I really like these boots. However, they fit quite small – about one whole size smaller. I normally wear a size 9 and wound up getting a size 10 which fit fine.

I’m short – 5 ft and these fit perfect not too high

These are my favorite boots. They leather is great quality and the style and comfort is so worth the cost. I have been looking for stylish boots that are real leather and comfortable.
Anonymous –
They are great looking and comfortable, enough that I later got them in black too, but the shaft is pretty wide. I’m on the narrow side and after a few wears these became slip on/off boots- I don’t have to undo the zipper. It makes it easy to shove skinny jeans that also don’t fit my narrow ankles correctly in, but after a few more months I worry the will be too loose-start to slip off when I don’t want them to.
Carrie –
The heel slips because of the form in the boot. I wear an 8 to 8.5. The 8.5 is too big.
